Manager Celia Vivian tells us all about her store...
Seasalt Truro opened in... March 2002.
The people are... Celia (above right), Mel, Kaye, Rachel, Amy (above left), Matt and our newest recruit Sarah (above centre).
Seasalt shops appeal to so many different people... In Truro we have lots of regular customers who pop in to see what's new, some just come in for a chat to say hello! We probably see more locals than holiday makers because we are not in such a seaside location.
Other brands beside Seasalt that we sell... include Oska, Noa Noa, Joules, Patagonia, Saltwater, Cream, Life is Good, El Natura Lista, Camper and of course Crocs - we all wear them!
Some of our favourite things are... Seasalt colours and the Saltwater range. We are really excited about having a collection that has been designed by a local company, inspired by Cornwall.
People come back to Seasalt for... the quality, choice and because of the way we do things. We are a company built around ethical choice and lots of our customers share our values.
The best place for lunch in Truro... is Duke Street Deli. Just around the corner from us, a crayfish tail sandwich on granary is a real favourite. The noodle bar also hits the mark. Rachel's top tip is one of their banana fritters after a hard days work!
Something we like doing... is going to live gigs. We often go to Blue Bar in Porthtowan and the Eden Sessions always come up with a great line up. Rufus Wainwright, Hot Chip and Lily Allen will all be cheered by someone from Seasalt this summer.
Check out our... flower arrangements. Fresh flowers are a big thing in all our stores. I am a trained florist and owned a flower shop in Fowey before joining Seasalt. But however much pride we take in presentation it's the personal service we give to our customers that people never fail to forget.
For July don't miss... our range of Palace clothing which has just been reduced or our £3 Jute bags which are perfect for filling up around town - cutting down on the need for all those plastic bags.
It makes us feel proud... when customers walk out of the shop saying what nice people we are at Seasalt.
We look forward to seeing you in Truro!![]()
