Fritha, manager of Seasalt Totnes, talks about what makes their location special...

The people are... Fritha, Rosemary, Rachel, Jen, Amy and Serena.

Totnes is the perfect place for a Seasalt shop because... people here are very eco-aware. They want clothes that reflect their environmental concerns and are not run of the mill High Street fashion. Our commitment to organic garments has been greatly supported in the town.

Things that make our town stand out from the rest... are the eclectic mix of residents and their genuine environmental concerns. It is a very tight knit community with an alternative atmosphere reflected in the creativity and individual nature of lots of the shops.

When we are not working we like to... explore our beautiful landscape; walking and swimming in the River Dart. We also like going to the Barrell House for live music, poetry, comedy and films. Eating out in our fantastic array of bistros and restaurants is always good - especially in our new haunt - The Kingsbridge Inn Cocktail Bar!

We recommend... meandering around the market on a Friday, taking in the atmosphere and listening to the local musicians that congregate there. Don't miss going to Dartington Hall and Gardens or just simply taking in the very chilled atmosphere that is Totnes!
